Planning a pilgrimage from South India

A pilgrimage should be about devotion, not logistics. Here's how to plan one well from South India.
Umrah
Umrah can be performed through most of the year. Searches and demand peak from October to January, and Ramadan books months ahead. Choose a hotel close to the Haram, especially for elderly pilgrims. Hajj

Holy sites in India
Sabarimala, Velankanni, Varanasi and the Char Dham each have their own seasons, crowds and permits. We plan rail or air connections and accommodation close to the shrines. See pilgrimage tours.
